Utama Spice Bali, a traditional herbal skin care company based in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, has announced that they have a new retail store in Gootama. There are three popular tourist spots near the Gootama store. Thus, tourists may want to visit the retail store as part of their journey and experience in Bali. These tourist spots are the Campuhan Ridge Walk, the ancient carvings of the Goa Gajah cave, and the Sangeh Monkey Forest with its 17th-century Hindu temple ruins and large numbers of tame gray macaque monkeys.

Utama Spice Bali spokesperson Ria Templer says, “We are very excited to announce that we have opened a new retail store in Gootama. With this new store, we hope to be able to better serve our customers, especially those who live in Gootama and nearby areas. We would also like to point out that tourists visiting the Goa Gajah, Campuhan Ridge Walk and the Sangeh Monkey Forest may also want to visit our new store and try our traditional Bali herbal skin care products.” Tourists visiting the mentioned popular sites can check out the location of the Gootama store via the Google Map page and plan to visit while in the area.

According to Ria Templer, they are focused on applying ancient Balinese knowledge of herbs to create products that will enhance the natural beauty of the skin. The company started in 1989 when Melanie Templer and Dayu Sici realized that there was a need to keep and maintain the herbal knowledge and traditions of Bali. They had noticed that these traditions were being lost because of the emergence of modern chemical-based products.

Dayu applied her extensive knowledge of the traditional Balinese herbal remedies while Melanie focused on discovering the benefits of the different natural ingredients. They started small, carefully creating herbal remedies manually for their loved ones. Furthermore, they applied the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which requires them to make sure that their processes and ingredients are in harmony with the divine, nature, and people.

Their products can be classified into several categories. These include the deodorants, face care products, moisturizers, scrubs and masks, hair care products, bath and shower products, essential oils, and wellness products. Essential oils are an important category for Utama Spice. This is because these have been used for centuries to heal both the body and mind. Their essential oils are highly concentrated and can be diluted in carrier oils like jojoba oil and virgin coconut oil, providing blends for aromatherapy and massage.

They often rely on essential oils for their products because these oils may serve as healing agents and they are often used for aromatherapy. These oils may also be used for treating muscle inflammation and various skin problems. This is because the oils have been observed to have possible antiviral and antibacterial characteristics. In various research on the antimicrobial properties of essential oils, it seemed that the fungi and bacteria were killed or suppressed by the essential oils. For instance, lavender oil and lemongrass have been observed to fight against fungi, while tea tree oil and peppermint oil can be used as antiseptic mouthwash.

Their moisturizers are based on natural ingredients, such as virgin coconut oil, aphrodisia body oil, argan oil, castor oil, citrus oil, cocoa, lemongrass, ginger, and mint. For face care, they have the eye roller, face wash, rosehip oil, witch hazel, acne treatment, argan oil, face and body clay, face mask, face serum, jojoba oil, and virgin coconut oil.

For scrubs and masks, they have the Bamboo Charcoal Salt Scrub, Face and Body Clay, Face Mask Coffee, Ocean Breeze Salt Scrub, Pink Rosella Salt Scrub, and Tea Tree Face Scrub.

Those who are interested in the skin care products, including the essential oils, offered by Utama Spice Bali can visit their website, contact them by phone or by email, or visit their store at Gootama.
