Contractors State License Center, based in Burbank, California, has announced that they are offering a six-week in class course that provides exam prep for contractor license in California. Contractors need to pass an exam administered by the Contractors State License Board in order to allow them to get a California contractors license. Research has shown that contractors have a higher passing rate when they study in a classroom.

Eric Jacobs, spokesperson for the Contractors State License Center, says, “In order to qualify for a license you are required to take and pass a test administered by the Contractor State License Board. The California contractor license exam is challenging and most people need some outside assistance or study material in order to pass it. Contractor State License Center has been a contractor school in Los Angeles for over 20 years. We can guarantee that you will pass the exam because our contractors license school course is focused entirely on the exam and the information and techniques needed to help you pass, the first time, or your money back.”

The classroom curriculum offered by the contractors license school in Los Angeles is made up of six different courses covering Law and Trade. The classes are flexible so students only need to come once a week and spend two hours in the classroom. After finishing six weeks of the classes, students will then take practice exams.

Meanwhile, because not everyone can come to class to study for the license exam for California contractors, Contractors State License Center has also developed a contractors home study program. The practice exams, books, and study guides will be enough to help them prepare adequately for the exam. However, they recommend enrolling in classes because the classroom environment has its advantages and will likely increase their chances of passing the test the first time they take it.

The California contractors license exam is made up of two separate tests. All qualifying individuals will have to pass the standard Law and Business examination. Furthermore, they must pass a second test that covers the specific trade or certification area that they are interested in, with the exception of the C-61 Limited Specialty Classification, which does not require a trade exam.

The tests are made up of multiple-choice questions and the law test is made up of 125 questions. The trade tests will vary in length, depending on the classification. There will be 80 to 125 questions in the trade exam, on average. To pass the law test, takers will need to answer at least 73 percent of the questions correctly. With regards to the trade exam, takers will be informed at the test site about the exact percentage of correct answers required to pass the trade exam.

The 10 major sections of the Law and Business test are Project Job Management, Bookkeeping, Licensing, Contracts, Safety, Bid Procedures, Employees Issues, Special Circumstances, Insurance, and Liens and Dispute Resolution.

The test sites are in seven cities: San Bernardino, San Diego, Norwalk, Oxnard, Sacramento, Oakland, and Fresno. Also, testing centers have been established at various locations throughout the state of California. Applicants are assigned to a particular testing center that is closest to their business address.

The course offered by Contractors State License Center is totally focused on the exam and the information and techniques that are required for applicants to pass the exam the first time they take it, or their money back. The materials in the course have been organized in such a way that they are easy to understand and the study process is made as simple as possible. The test question do change often but the Contractors State License Center has a full time contractor who regularly research the test requirements.

Those who require more information about the classroom courses, practice exams, and home study materials to help people pass California contractors exam can visit the Contractors State License Center website or contact them by phone or by email.
