Scottsdale Private Golf Course, The Country Club At DC Ranch, Announces Expanded And Improved Practice Facilities

Scottsdale private golf course, The Country Club at DC Ranch is pleased to update on some enhancements to practice areas over the next few summers, starting this summer, June 2019. These improvements are in keeping with the continued plan to upgrade golf as need be in the future. Scottsdale private golf course, The Country Club at DC Ranch is very aware that they are a year-round club with more play from June through September than many of the neighboring clubs, and they hope to keep the course in play without too much interruption on any hole or closing the course.

Scottsdale private golf course, will start at the South end of the driving range, which is the primary end for all practice, by adding more width and depth to the tee box which will give Scottsdale private golf course additional practice stations and hopefully, additional turf.

Scottsdale golf club is fortunate to be able to re-sod a third of this tee in January to provide the members quality turf for the rest of the spring. Scottsdale golf club will then plan to move to the existing short game area on the South end and completely renovate this area to include a 6000 square-foot putting only green, multiple bunkers and greens to practice chipping and pitch shots. This should offer players all the short shots they would encounter on the golf course as well as enough space to hold multi student short game clinics.

Continuing to the range field, the idea is to enhance the target greens and place them at strategic yardage positions from the tee. They are working on plans to build a Scottsdale golf club teaching, club fitting putting studio building with Trackman featuring a course simulator in this two-bay center at the back of the instruction tee.

As many golfers know, Scottsdale golf club has used these target greens in a 9-hole short course for a number of family and kids’ events. The grand plan calls for a 9-hole mini course on the perimeter of the range for the junior golfers in designated afternoons when the practice tee would close early. They hope these projects will be completed in 60 days, weather permitting.

Scottsdale golf club will address the north end of the range practice areas in the Summer of 2020. This will include leveling, enlarging and combining the two full swing tees, reworking the short game area as well as adding a 6000 square-foot putting only green and a few pitching yardage greens in the field.

Lastly in future years, Scottsdale golf club plans to build a 9-hole putting course on the east side of the south tee for family, juniors and competitions.
