Today ManageByStats reported they have added reporting for Amazon’s Marketplace Facilitator Tax, or MFT. The list of states requiring Amazon to collect and remit taxes on behalf of 3rd-party Sellers is growing, and participating states will likely continue to be added. As the marketplace facilitator, Amazon is responsible for calculating, collecting and remitting taxes on sales sold by third party sellers for transactions destined to states where Marketplace Facilitator and/or Marketplace collection legislation is enacted. ManageByStats is a suite of software tools for Amazon 3rd-party Sellers, and as such collects and reports information from Amazon. The MFT is now being reported.
“MBS is the Amazon nerve center for many of our customers,” says ManageByStats CEO, Philip Jepsen. “They use it to make sense of the troves of information in their Amazon accounts, from sales and inventory info to customer data. We report statistics in a sensible, easy to see and evaluate format, and we’re now including the MFT info from applicable states.”
MFT info is broken out under the Customers section in ManageByStats, in the sub-menu item called Geo Analyze. MFT info is included in other reporting, and factored into things like Profit, ROI and Margin, but can now be visualized in state-by-state reporting.
“Our customers expect ease of access to their data and complete visibility,” says Mister Jepsen. “With the new MFT reporting this is just one more bit of important data we’re making available to make the overall picture of your Amazon business crystal clear.”
