Thousand Oaks, Calif. - Express Employment Professionals, one of the leading employment agencies in Thousand Oaks, hosted a Client Appreciation Holiday Party on Thursday, December 6th at Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen in Oxnard. Over 200 clients attended and participated in supporting local charities in Ventura County by buying raffle tickets, engaging in multiple silent auctions, and choosing a Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families Holiday Wishes Dove. The raffle and silent auction generated $3,141.75 to be donated to the Borderline and the Woolsey Fire Victims funds.
This annual event allows the Express staff to personally thank their loyal clients for their business. This year, the Express staff felt the need to give back to the local community by raising money to assist the Ventura County citizens that were directly affected by the recent shooting and fire tragedies.
“We look forward every year to the opportunity to thank our clients for their business and celebrate together with them at the Client Appreciation Holiday Party,” said Neil McMillan, Ventura County Express Oxnard Owner. “Raising money to assist the Borderline and the Woolsey Fire Victims has become a high priority amongst the Express staff within the Oxnard and Thousand Oaks offices. Many of our Clients and Associates have been directly affected by both devastating situations. Donating the fundraising proceeds allows our staff to provide a form of community relief.”
Highlights of the night included raffle prizes such as VIP Access to a Backstreet Boys concert in Las Vegas, Big Bear Weekend Rental, and 4 tickets to Levity Live with VIP Access donated by the venue. In addition, Casa Pacifica Donor Relations Officer Ann Sobel shared compelling stories concerning their organization and the children and families that they serve.
The funds raised will be donated to: Together We Mourn. Together We Stand., Conejo Valley Victims Fund, and Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort. Both of these funds are facilitated by the Ventura County Community Foundation.
