First, they wrote that a pipe may have frozen if the faucet is turned on and only a little water flows through. However, the company warned that the pipe may have burst. If the pipe had burst, they advised not to thaw them as they may flood a house with water. If the pipe had burst, the company advised to turn the main shutoff valve off. Then they wrote that if the pipe had not burst, homeowners may take the following steps.

The first step was to turn the faucets on. This is because the water needs to flow through in order to thaw out the pipes. Running water will help melt the ice quicker and clear the pipes.

The second step was to apply heat to the frozen pipes. The Mobile Al Plumbers recommended using a heating pad, hair dryer, or towels soaked with hot water. They advised not to use items such as a blow torch, or anything else that uses fire as this may damage the pipes enough to start a house fire.

The third step was to wait until there was significant water pressure. They recommended checking every pipe in the house to make sure no others were frozen. However, they added that if one pipe were frozen, the others were most likely also frozen.
