WhiteSands Provides Treatment Options in Orlando Drug Rehab Facility

WhiteSands Treatment Center, a Florida accredited private drug and alcohol recovery program with drug addiction treatment centers in Fort Meyers and Tampa Bay, has announced that they are providing Orlando drug addiction treatment at its location on Pine Street in Orlando.

Substance abuse across the country has increased in the past few years and Florida is no exception. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, which advances science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction, published a summary on Florida’s Opioid Summary in February of this year stating "in 2016, there were 2,798 opioid-related overdose deaths­­­ in Florida—a rate of 14.4 deaths per 100,000 persons—compared to the national rate of 13.3 deaths per 100,000 persons."
