The Institute of Wedding and Event Design (IWED), based in Deerfield, FL, has announced that they have been featured on a blog post on Her Culture magazine. IWED was mentioned by Her Culture in a blog post titled, "The 5 Makeup Sins Brides Make for Their Wedding". It was indicated that the five "makeup sins" were courtesy of IWED. These are: not wearing waterproof mascara, not wearing the right blend of foundations, failure to exfoliate first before applying lipstick, failure to get the services of a professional makeup artist, and failure to use a concealer.

IWED is a provider of courses for event and floral designers, including those who provide wedding design services. Thus, in contributing to the said blog post, IWED has shown that it has expertise in anything that has to do with weddings.

IWED Global event design online classes are available for those who are not able to attend the in-class sessions for the accredited event design course, which is the signature program of IWED. This course for the in-class sessions will last for 5 days, with the first four days focusing on hands-on training for participants on event design. The last day will be focused on the business side of event design.

Specifically, the first day will tackle the basics of event decor, including the fabrics, hardware and terminology. The different kinds of backdrop styles will also be discussed on the first day. The second day will be devoted to the decoration of ceilings. Participants will learn how to do different kinds of ceiling drapings, including the hardware and techniques that are required to do them properly. The third day will be about tabletop decor with participants learning about the proper execution of table drapings, including several kinds of center pieces and tabletop decor styles. The fourth day will be about the ceremony with participants learning about the creation of a 4-post canopy. The fifth day will be about operating an event business, providing participants with sample contracts, guides, and templates.

A representative from IWED says, "We have a hands-on approach to education which gives you the knowledge & skills to execute beautifully designed events. Jumpstart your career in the event industry by joining IWED in one of 20 locations across America and get certified as an Event Design professional."

Those who complete the program, either online or in-class, will be awarded an Accredited Event Designer seal, which they can use as proof of their credibility as one of the top designers in the industry.

For the convenience of people who want to take part in the programs, a step-by-step process has been outlined on the website. The first step is to select a particular location as the course is offered in more than 20 cities in the US as well a through a dedicated Florida campus and through their Digital Campus. The next step is to make plans on how to get there and where to day during the duration of the course. Step three is to take part in the course. For the in-class sessions, these will take five full days from 9am to 6pm with one hour break for lunch. The next step is to learn the various industry techniques shown by the instructors. Step five is to create their own designs. And the last step is to get accredited.

For the online course on event design, IWED has a custom built Digital Campus. Participants will attend live-streamed lessons and get to access special deals and discounts through Event Decor Direct. Through the IWED Student Kit, online participants will be able to create their own backdrop and designs, which will be reviewed by an online instructor.

Another course being offered by IWED is floral design, which will also take five days to complete through the in-class course. Those who complete this course will also become an Accredited Floral Designer.

The first day of the floral design course will provide an introduction to floral design. The second day will be for designs and consultations. The third day will focus on mastering the centerpiece. The fourth day will tackle bouquet design and holders. And the last day will discuss boutonniere and corsage design. Those who finish the course will be given an Accredited Event Floral Designer seal, which they can use as proof of their credibility as a top floral designer in the industry.

Those who are interested in getting more information about the various IWED courses can visit the company website or contact them by phone.
