Employment Company in Oxnard Partnered with FOOD Share Inc. for their Annual Brand It Blue Initiative Food Drive

Oxnard, Calif. - The employment company in Oxnard, CA, Express Employment Professionals, partnered up with FOOD Share Inc., the local food bank in Ventura County, for their annual food drive called the “Brand it Blue Initiative.”

Every year, Express Employment Professionals offices in the U.S., South Africa, and Canada join together at local food banks and pantries to help fight hunger—a growing epidemic that impacts millions of people around the world every day.

“Brand It Blue Initiative is a program that each Express franchise can come together for a great cause to help their communities,” said Neil McMillan, Express Oxnard franchisee. “Every year it is a chance for Express offices to give back and honor the communities that have supported our offices throughout the years.”

To generate the food, Express placed collection bags in its office as well as in the offices of over 30 partner clients in Ventura County.

The Brand it Blue Initiative Food Drive ran for four weeks in June and generated 2,824 pounds of food which equates to 2,269 meals.

“The summertime is an especially difficult season for children who depend on the meals they receive at school,” McMillan said. “The donations we received will continue to provide meals for children and their families in our community during the summer vacation.”
