London X City is a UK-based online magazine that looks at various things that matter in British society. Now that the World Cup is finished, attention is once again on the domestic games, with the Premier League ready to start again. London X City has released a post that takes a look at predictions for this year.

"The Premier League is starting again and we can't help but make a couple of predictions in terms of what will happen," says Chloe from London X City. "We believe that Manchester City, in particular, will do really well this year. Of course, the game isn't over until the final whistle blows, so we will just have to wait and see."

Manchester City won the title last year, so it should come as no surprise that they are tipped to at least do very well again. That said, the pundits seem to agree that Manchester City will win again, with Liverpool coming second. Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal are also set to do very well.

Chloe continues: "Manchester City is set to win it this year. They have the best squad, team, and coach. Plus, they have a lot of confidence and they have Pep Guardiola behind them. Plus, Riyad Mahrez will be joining the team from Leicester City, which will make the team a lot more varied and po tent as well."

Meanwhile, all eyes are also on Phil Foden, a homegrown player, who is set to do very well. And, naturally, everybody is watching John Stones and Benjamin Mendy. The former performed great in Russia, while the latter is returning to fitness. Chloe says: "We don't think that Manchester City will once again have a 19 point margin. We also don't think they will get 100 points. But we're pretty convinced that they will win overall."

London X City, as shown on their website at www.londonxcity.com, is also making predictions in regards to Liverpool. Although they ended fourth in the last season, the magazine believes they will come second this year. Jurgen Klopp is set to take his team towards the title and he is bringing with him all the potential and promise expected of a good team. Chloe says: "Not just that, they reached the finals of the Champions League, so they have a reputation to uphold."

One of the reasons why Liverpool is set to do so well is because they have been able to invest a serious amount of money. Additionally, they have some excellent players, including Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Naby Keita. Put together, those players can become an almost unstoppable force. Chloe says: "Meanwhile, they also have Fabinho and Alisson Beckeer as goalkeeper. During his time in Roma, Alisson let almost no balls get in the back of the net. Last year, Loris Karius highlighted exactly where Liverpool's weakness lies and that has now been completely resolved."

During the pre-season, Liverpool's Xherdan Shagiri clearly showed that the team will be unpredictably good. London X City encourages people to read more about this topic and why they feel that Liverpool will most certainly not end up with 25 points difference between them and the champions. Indeed, they predict that they will be right on the heels of Manchester City.

Finally, the magazine took a look at Manchester United. They finished second in the last season and London X City predicts they will finish third this year. Jose Mourinho has been nothing but positive during the pre-season, a welcome change from his signature black mood. However, he is starting his third season as manager and will have to face Leicester City at Old Trafford for this year's opening game. Mourinho has been obvious about his dissatisfaction with his team and players, but he continues to find the finances to move forward and it seems that, for once, he is a lot more positive.

According to Chloe: "Mourinho is frustrated and rightfully so. He has not been able to attract the badly needed and wanted central defender. However, he did get Fred from Brazil for 50 million GBP, which means he can get really creative with the direction of his team. Man U will certainly be one to watch this year as well."

Although Mourinho appears positive, the question is whether he will be able to keep that up. Fans believe that, if he holds on to it, Manchester United will be able to be a serious contender for the championship this year. However, they are worried about their coach's inherent negativity and believe it will soon return, to the detriment of the club.
