Anaheim, CA: The Anaheim Lighthouse (anaheimlighthouse.com), affordable drug addiction rehab center in Southern California, acted as a primary sponsor for the Grupo de Autismo Angeles fund raising picnic, held at the Santa Ana Zoo on July 21, 2018.
Grupo de Autismo Angeles was founded in 1998 to fill a need for autism awareness in the Hispanic community. They are the first support group focusing on autism for Spanish-speaking families in Southern California.
“Here at The Lighthouse we are always honored to be able to give something back to the community,” said Jocel Bibera, Alumni Relations Coordinator at Lighthouse Treatment Center. “This group helps so many children with an autism diagnosis to reintegrate into society.”
Grupo de Autismo Angeles is an organization of parents of autistic children who work in close collaboration with professionals. The main goal of the group is to help children to have a dignified and independent life, as well as providing support to families whose children have been diagnosed.
“Participating in events like this always reinforces the benefits of addiction recovery for me,” said Peter J. Davidson, COO of The Lighthouse. “Service to others is one of the cornerstones of addiction recovery, and the Anaheim Lighthouse strives to set a good example for our clients through involvement in the community.”
The Anaheim Lighthouse is one of the most respected drug addiction and alcoholism treatment centers in Southern California. The Lighthouse participates in public events and encourages staff and alumni to engage in social events.
