Pensacola, Fla. - Avalon Landing RV Park, a Pensacola RV Park, knows that many people travel with their pets and would like to share some tips to make it easier on those traveling with pets. There a couple safety precautions that pet owners should take when taking their pets RVing with them.
"We know that pet owners only want the best for their pets," says manager, Wendy. "It is important to us for them to keep their pets safe on their trip to our campgrounds."
While on the road, it is safest to keep pets contained. If a sudden stop occurs or there is an accident, it could result in the pet getting injured or even killed. There are a couple of ways to keep pets safely contained and protected. One of the most common ways is to use a crate. If using a crate, be sure it is secured in a place that it won't move and slide around while driving. Another way is to get a pet car seat. They are similar to a child's car seat that harnesses the pet to the seat by a belt and keeps them safe.
"We would like to be able to keep Avalon Landing pet-friendly, but it takes all pet owners being responsible for their pets to be able to do this," says Wendy.
When at the RV campsite in Pensacola, it is important to keep an eye on pets at all times. Losing a pet can be tragic and ruin the trip. Keeping pets on leashes is a good way to have them near and safe. Also, have a name tag or collar plate on pets just in case they go missing or run off.
