I Provèn's OXI-27 Pulse Oximeter Is Designed For Every Athlete

iProvèn, which has recently announced the release of the OXI-27 fingertip pulse oximeter, has clarified that the device has been designed for every athlete. The company has revealed that it is suitable for everybody, from complete novices to Olympic champions.

As Daniel, spokesperson for iProvèn, explains: "All our devices are designed to be of professional and medical grade standard but to be used by anybody who needs them. This is true for the thermometers, the blood pressure monitors, the pregnancy and ovulation test kits, and now also the pulse oximeter. You don't have to be a professional athlete in order to benefit from it, in other words."

The pulse oximeter is designed to measure blood saturation a.k.a. SpO2 levels. These readings are important during a workout as they indicate whether athletes are pushing themselves too far. A manual is included with the OXI-27 to explain what people should look for, what the readings mean, and why SpO2 levels are important. Daniel continues: "We developed our OXI-27 to be not only easy to use but also easy to understand. The last thing we want is to leave you wondering about complex numbers."

The device also comes with an alarm function. If the saturation level ever drops below 94%, an alarm will sound, instantly alerting athletes that it is time to stop and take a break. Usually, it simply means catching their breath, after which they can once again continue. This is one of the reasons why the OXI-27 is such an important companion for those wanting to improve their fitness levels.

A bar graph is also included with the device, and so with a manual and a lanyard. Daniel says: "The manual is there to make sure that you understand your readings and that you can track them. Not just that, you can attach the device to one end of the lanyard and then you can have the other end of the lanyard around your neck so that you don't have to worry about losing it during your workout in the event that it gets dropped."
