Douglas, Georgia - In honor of National Hug a Plumber Day on April 25, plumbing technicians from Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a Neighborly company, will be celebrating everything Douglas GA plumbers do to keep homes and businesses operating.

“National Hug a Plumber Day, celebrated each year on April 25, is a fun way to show gratitude and appreciation for the hardworking tradesmen who continue to improve our lives and health in the modern world,” said Buddy Carver, owner of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Southeast Georgia. “From tree root invasion and clogged pipes to fixing garbage disposals and recovering items, a plumber’s scope of work is pretty vast, which is why we’re doing what we can to help spread the word about this day that honors not only Mr. Rooter plumbers, but all unsung plumbing heroes.”

Along with normal Douglas GA plumbing operations, Mr. Rooter Plumbing has several other reasons to celebrate their plumbers on this day. Mr. Rooter Plumbers in Georgia responded to a woman on the side of the road having a medical emergency and called 9-1-1. Another Mr. Rooter Plumber in the Chicago area rescued a young child from a flipped vehicle before paramedics were able to be on scene. One Ohio Mr. Rooter Plumber searched for months to find the owners of class rings his office had found over the years.

“To Mr. Rooter Plumbing, April 25 means a lot us,” said Carver. “We are plumbers and so much more. I think about what our plumbers have done over the years and I’m very proud. I’m ready to celebrate this day with my team and plumbers everywhere.”

To help celebrate National Hug a Plumber Day, customers are encouraged to post a photo with a Mr. Rooter technician on their social channels using the hashtag #MrRooterHugAPlumber.
