Industrial Plastic Supply, Inc. of Anaheim, California has promoted Hayden Hess to their new President.
Mr. Hess started his plastic sheet and plastic rod career at Cadillac Plastics. During the 4 years there, he studied and learned a great deal about the industry. He then moved on to Industrial Plastic Supply, a leader in the Plastic Sheet industry throughout the West Coast. Working his way through all the job positions, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, purchasing and inside sales.
Mr. Hess was then advanced to the position of outside sales. Then, in 1998, he then became the first General Manager in the company history. Hayden has focused on continuing the fast growth the company has enjoyed, and has worked tirelessly to add the best talent in the industry to his team. Hess has assisted with the continued growth of Industrial Plastic, and worked to bring some of the best talent in the industry to join his team. The large client service department has 15 members, and the average experience level is over 20 years in the industry.
Industrial Plastic has a record of continued success and the year to year growth has been remarkable. Mr. Mr. Hess points to the amount of high quality team members, and the strength of the working relationship of the entire team as the main reasons for this success. A massive inventory of mechanical and performance plastic materials makes this possible. Mr. Hess is proud of the extremely low employee turn over, and notes the tenure of employees in every position at the firm.
In 1975, Industrial Plastic was founded, with the main purpose of supporting the small to medium sized machine shops, that had needs for engineering plastics. "Most suppliers at the time focused on the sign and graphic business, and did not carry any of the performance plastics in stock. We jumped in on that demand and have continued to build our massive inventory ever since," stated Mr. Hess. "Most of our clients would place orders with one of the other suppliers, and then wait for two to three weeks for them to ship it out from the East Coast," said Mr. Hess.
"We knew that if we stocked the largest inventory of these materials, and could fill most mechanical plastic sheet orders from stock, that we would be successful. While we don't stock everything, we do inventory a vast majority of the common engineering materials that our clients request," says Jeff Ritchie, General Manager. "Because we can't stock everything, we constantly evaluate the needed materials, and quickly add them to our stock list," continues Mr. Ritchie.
This simple strategy has proved to be very effective in the 43 year growth of the company. Mr. Ritchie added, "Our team continuously reviews and adjusts inventory levels to maintain the quickest delivery for our customers".
