Veterans Action Network, based in Richmond, VA, is proud to announce that they have recently completed a full redesign of their website. The new website fully highlights the important work that the grassroots political organization does.

LTC Dan Curran (USA, Ret.), VAN’s president, says: "We wanted to make sure that our website embodies our task and purpose. We live in a digital age, and we need to live up to expectations in terms of how interactive a website should be. Through our new design, we feel we have fully met these expectations and more."

Long-time supporters will know that one of the key things the organization does is hold elected officials accountable. Their primary mission is to stand up and fight for the rights of military Veterans across all branches. The organization is always focused on the actions of people in Washington, making them accountable for their decisions. LTC Curran (USA, Ret.) adds: "The actions of those in Washington have led directly to the mismanagement of the VA. These officials ask so much of our servicemen and women without providing the support they need when coming home. We know this is unacceptable, and we need to fight every day to make a change."

The highlight of the website revamp is a link to facilitate voter registration. Voter turnout has decreased significantly over recent years, and the organization says they need to play a part in changing this. They want to ensure people understand how important it is that they have a voice in choosing their elected officials; this is what strengthens the position of being able to hold them accountable.

"We can't stress enough how important it is that people vote," says LTC Curran. "Our new site has links to register to vote in your state, and the process is really easy. While you're there, you can sign up to get updates and even find out how you can help us make a difference and help us achieve our goals of protecting the rights of our Veterans."
