With 110 videos to date, and around 12,500 subscribers, the YouTube channel for Rockwell Trading has reached 1.7 million in total views.

Created back in 2008, the channel is dedicated to providing its viewers simplified and actionable stock market education, as well commentaries and updates on how the current market is doing.

Markus Heitkoetter, Founder and CEO of Rockwell Trading had this to say when asked as to what contributed to the success of their channel:

“I think its has to do with trying to fill the demand by delivering content that not only resonates, but actually helps.

There are thousands, if not millions, of people out there that wants to learn how to trade. And though there are many websites and YouTube channels that caters to this niche, most of them present their content in a complicated fashion.

The target of our videos are regular, everyday people that want to get into trading. Those that don't have the slightest idea of how and where to start. We provide them with content that are easy to understand, without leaving the important why and how tidbits out. That way, and when they do muster the courage to start trading, they already have accumulated some basic, practical skills that they can apply.

We also have more advanced content, but we generally cater to beginners.”

Taking a look at some of the content they have on their channel, its undeniable that their approach indeed resonated with their target audience.

Two of their videos, “A Simple Trading Strategy” and “Day Trading Tips - Best Indicators For Day Trading” has more than 600,000 views each.

But with the ever changing preferences of netizens, so did the delivery of their content. Currently, Heitkoetter has daily show called “Coffee with Markus”, where he talks about specific trading related tips and tricks, as well as market updates.

When asked how different is the current format compared to the old one, Heitkoetter replied:

“Well the biggest difference I think is that it’s now more interactive. Coffee with Markus is an interactive show. I go live, and viewers can immediately react or comment to everything I say.

And also, most of our viewers are more knowledgeable about stocks now. So the mood of the show can easily shift from something basic to technical in an instant. Even so our viewers find that at Rockwell we keep trading simplified and accessible for all.”

With Rockwell Trading’s YouTube channel’s gaining more traction with each upload, it's only a matter of time before they dominate YouTube for their niche.
