San Diego, California - FunGig is a new company that helps people find fun things to do in San Diego. As a way of spreading word about the company and building relationships with an important part of the San Diego community, FunGig recently teamed up with local alternative music station 91X.
FunGig became the sponsor of the 91X contest “Where in the World Is Zach in San Diego?” The contest features radio personality Zach VanLue hiding in various locations around town and tweeting out clues. The local listener who first identifies Zach’s location wins tickets to one of the biggest concerts in town.
FunGig believes this is the ideal partnership for them because it is a contest that is in line with FunGig’s mission: to get people out and about in San Diego, exploring and finding new fun things to do. People participating in “Where in the World Is Zach in San Diego?” not only learn more about their town, they also are rewarded with concert tickets, something that could make a FunGig on its own.
With the sponsorship, FunGig, one of the newest companies in San Diego, has teamed up with a long-running local institution in 91X. The radio station has been on the air since 1983, broadcasting its well-known format of current and classic alternative rock.
