Destin Marina to Host the Upcoming Emerald Coast Honor Games

The upcoming Emerald Coast Honor Games will be held at a boating club and marina in Destin, Florida. The marine club, which is home to the world's largest American flag, has recently announced that they will be hosting the upcoming celebration, which is set to be both historic and unique.

The Emerald Coast Honor Games were initially developed to raise funds to support defenders of the front line. The Emerald Coast houses the third largest veteran population in the nation per capita. Their goal this year is to raise $100,000 for veterans. The Honor Games consist of competitions, food, and community togetherness and are set to take place on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2017.

Jeremy Holcomb, a representative for the Legendary Boating Club, says, "Situated at the south end of Mid Bay Bridge, Legendary Marina, Legendary Yacht Club, Legendary Marina, Destin Middle School, Lulu's Restaurant and Destin commons are all converging to create a one of a kind, world class venue."

"We will have special guests, defenders of the front line, a number of vendors and so much fun," says Holcomb. "We really hope that everyone will come and join us in honoring those who honor us with their defense of our nation. This is a day filled with fun, excitement, honor and pride and it's an event for the entire family. Bring your family and friends, and join us for a day that you are not likely to forget."

The Legendary Boating Club is a division of the Legendary Marina and Legendary Yacht Club and is home of the largest dry storage facility in the nation. The exterior of the facility features the largest mural in the world, Whaling Wall 88, which was designed by world renowned marine artist Wyland.

Holcomb states that the club, along with all vendors and supporters, plan to make this the most unique Emerald Coast Honor Games ever.
