Solana Beach, California, July 10, 2017 - A dentist in the San Diego area notes that the effects of stress reach well beyond increased blood pressure and insomnia. Dr. Michelle Sandler further states that not many of her patients are aware of this fact, so she decided to write a blog to raise their awareness of the issue.

Her blog explains how everyone is affected by stress and many are knowledgeable of the way it impacts overall health, but it is just as important to be aware of the side effects of stress that impact oral health. The dentist in the La Jolla area notes that teeth grinding, temporomandibular joint disorder, and more can all result from stress.

She hopes that her blog will help readers become aware of the dental problems that may be surfacing during times of stress, and as a result get treatment earlier. This could help such issues be nipped in the bud before they become larger problems.

In addition to listing the dental problems that can be caused by stress, Dr Sandler mentions treatment options so the patient can arrive at his or her dentist’s office knowing what to expect. Dr. Sandler realizes that many people are afraid of the dentist because of fear of the unknown and hopes to use her blog to spread knowledge and hopefully ease concerns of patients when they go to the dentist.
