Markus Heitkoetter, the founder and CEO of Rockwell Trading, have been developing forecasting techniques over the last decade that continues to beat the market trends. After writing several books and developing trading software ‘PowerX Analyzer’ Markus started hosting a show ‘Coffee with Markus’ to help traders making more and more money.
In Thursday’s show, Markus decided to explain options trading after receiving several requests through email and social media. Like every day, before starting trading, Markus Heitkoetter likes to inspect indices and economic calendar in order to gauge the market volatility and trading opportunities.
Trading volume was fairly thin ahead of the weekend. But Markus looks optimistic that he can find several trading opportunities despite lower trading volume, thanks to the strength of PowerX Analyzer.
He scanned PowerX Analyzer and the software came up with several trading opportunities. Markus closely looked at those stocks to spot the trading trend.
Markus then moved towards options. When trading options with PowerX Analyzer you have to find a stock that is moving, Markus says. If one is looking to trade options, just click on options tab on PowerX Analyzer and the software will come up with three possibilities: in the money strike price, out of the money strike price or at the money strike price.
Markus never trades with out of the money or at the money strike price rather he prefers to trade at the money strike price. Considering 50 days to expiration, on average, Markus have 30 days trade trend in VIC stock. Since Markus has decided to long, he plans to buy a call at $110 (in the money strike price). He closely explained the risk and reward factors about the options trade and answered audience questions before ending the show.
