how to get recruitedAn athletic recruiting resource, based in Scottsdale, AZ, was originally founded to ensure that student athletes would have a greater understanding about the collegiate athletic recruiting process. They have created numerous resources in order to facilitate this, and have recently released a new document, 'How to Get Recruited' to guide students. This document highlights what students and their families should focus on in order to increase their chances of being recruited and obtain sports-related aid.

Jack Renkens, founder of the athletic recruiting resource company, says: "In order to participate in college athletics at any level, all student-athletes have to be evaluated by coaches and/or recruiters. If you are not rated as one of the top 300-500 players in your sport, position or event in the world, you need to realize the competition for athletic-related aid has become so intense that student-athletes now need to educate themselves on how to play this game. And we are there to help them with this."

Recruiting Realities, the recruiting resource company, is based on the belief that there are six key areas of importance that student athletes should focus on. First of all, there is the correspondence. Secondly, the students themselves must be 100% committed and return any necessary correspondence on time. Third, the initial phone contact itself has to be completed properly. Next, they should be fully prepared for the home visit and, subsequently, the campus visit. Finally, they must prepare for the partial and walk-on pitch.

Renkens adds: "The key is to get as many schools as possible interested in your academic and athletic talent. Put yourself in the position to negotiate. This is why you must consider out of state schools."

Those who have heard Renkens speak, or who have had the opportunity to work with him have praised him tremendously. "Jack Renkens speaks the hard truth about the realities of recruiting," says Scott D. on the Recruiting Realities website. "He provides a wealth of knowledge that is useful, yet is entertaining to the audience. Jack provides the understanding on how to navigate through the recruiting process. He separates the truths from the myths."

Those who are looking at being recruited for college sports are encouraged to visit the Recruiting Realities website at recruitingrealities.com, where they can order a copy of Jack Renken's book and find further information.
