The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT) in Samara, Nicoya, Costa Rica, is proud to announce another continuing education course. The Asian Modalities Certificate Program started on May 8th and is scheduled to complete on May 29th. The 100 hour Asian Modalities program runs concurrently with another continuing education course, which is for sports massage. Sandy Anderson, of Tucson, AZ, teaches the Asian Modalities course. Full details are available at http://crsmt.com/asian-modalities-certificate-program/.
"We have recently graduated our class of 2017 and look forward to the next cohort," says Tammy McGee, Director of Admissions at the CRSMT. "At the same time, we are committed to the lifelong education of our graduates and other massage therapy professionals, which is why we regularly host continuing education courses and always look at developing new ones. We're very happy to have been able to attract Sandy to our school, and our students are doing great."
The main components of the new course include Thai Massage, Shiatsu, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Immediately following the course, there will be two one day workshops in Ten Zo and Thai Hand and Foot Massage. Tammy McGee adds: "I really want to encourage people to follow us on Facebook, where they can find out more about our different courses, but also about the experiences that our students have had."
Indeed, past students have left a wealth of positive reviews about the CRSMT and their courses. "CRSMT is a profound, condensed school with an experience to always remember," says Zachary JA. "It was an opportunity for me to grow inwardly as well as outwardly. The staff, instructors, grounds keepers, house keeping, security guards, and the classmates whom I have spent the last 4 months with have impacted my life in a positive and inspiring way."
The Asian Modalities Certificate Program teaches students how to perform two types of Asian bodywork: Thai massage and Shiatsu. Both of these are based on creating balance in the body's energetic systems. Students are provided with a solid knowledge foundation as well as hands-on opportunities. They will be evaluated based on both written and hands-on tests.
