Beaverton, OR based home medical device brand iProven has recently released a brand new digital thermometer with the latest in technology. This includes upgraded infrared lens technology for better accuracy. The newly design medical thermometer is recommended by physicians, and has been independently found to give the best results.

Coen Adriaanse, spokesperson for iProven, says: "We were very proud to hear that our thermometer was found to be so accurate. The reality is that there are a lot of poor quality devices out there right now, and we wanted to ensure people have something that, on the one hand, they can afford and that, on the other hand, ensures that they can take safe and accurate readings."

Before upgrading the thermometer with the infrared lens technology, the iProven digital thermometer was already incredibly popular. However, the company is committed to providing only the best quality medical devices for at home use, which is why they made the decision to further upgrade the device once new technology became available.

"Just because a device works well and there are no complaints, does not mean it cannot be improved on," adds Coen Adriaanse. "When we heard about the availability of the new infrared lens, we set about researching it ourselves and speaking to physicians about how this would improve our device. We're very happy to have made the changes, and we know that our customers will love it just as much."

In many cases, digital thermometers provide incorrect readings not because they are of poor quality, but because they are not operated properly. There are both positioning and environmental factors to take into consideration, which can all have an impact on the reading itself. While these issues do continue to exist, they have been mitigated significantly thanks to the new technology. Adriaanse ends: "If someone were to sit outside in the snow and then take a reading, the temperature reading is obviously still going to be lower. But it will be closer to the mark than it was before."
