Assisting Hands Houston, a company based in Humble, TX, has released its latest financial figures and points out that the numbers are proof that in home health care is now seen as the new alternative to assisted living. For the company, the goal has always been to help the elderly in avoiding the situation where they have to give up their possessions and move to an unfamiliar environment. The company aims to be at the forefront of in-home health care and to change the industry one elderly patient at a time.

Company representative Terri Robbins says: "We have been promoting the benefits of providing in-home care for many years, and we're so happy to see that this message is coming across. For us, it is about helping people to maintain their independence in an environment that they are comfortable with for as long as possible, treating them with respect, dignity, and compassion."

Assisting Hands Houston believes that people are best cared for in their familiar environment. This is where they feel at home and secure, and where they are part of a community. While there is certainly a place for assisted living facilities, they believe that in-home care is often far more effective and far more beneficial for elderly patients. Clearly, their latest figures show that this message is getting across.

Those who have used the services of the company have been incredibly pleased with the compassionate, caring service they have received. "The care and compassion that Assisting Hands showed our mother in her last days made the transition of her passing so much easier for my sister and me," says the daughter of a client, Rachel J. on the company's website. "We know mom was as comfortable as she could possibly be."

Assisting Hands has set itself the mission of finding the right assisted living alternative for every elderly, ill, and/or injured individual. Research has shown that in-home care is far more effective, particularly because it enhances the patients' psychological well-being. Terri Robbins ends: "We want to make sure that everyone is able to get the care that they deserve, and we are there to help them find it."
