Smart Kitchen, a Scottsdale, AZ based company, is now offering fun and affordable cooking lessons online. The company charges $9.99 per month, allowing cooks to learn and perform easy to follow lessons from the comfort of home. The lessons are available online 24 hours a day 7 days a week, which Smart Kitchen believes sets them apart from more traditional models of cooking schools where students can only learn at certain times of the day.

One of the main focuses of the company is giving their students the opportunity to learn at their own convenience. By offering courses available at any time and on any day, people can learn from home when they have free time, rather than trying to cram the lessons into an already busy schedule. The lessons vary in length and type, with more than five hundred to choose from. Half of the lessons available also include videos and bright colored illustrations for a better understanding of what is expected in each recipe or cooking style. Smart Kitchen has said the following regarding their lesson plan and how it progresses:

"The best thing about Smart Kitchen's cooking lessons is that everything is organized in a progressive cooking curriculum, moving from the simplest cooking ideas to more complex culinary techniques."

Cooking lessons online can be followed one after another like most other curriculum's and programs found in professional cooking schools, or they can be taken one exercise at a time, enabling home chefs to pick and choose which recipes to learn and follow as they go. The school offers this type of learning format due to the varying level of cooking knowledge that students possess. This means that no matter what level students cook at currently, they can still follow the same lessons, and essentially build their own curriculum at their leisure.

To learn more about the classes available, or to take a free trial course, Smart Kitchen invites potential students to visit their website at www.smartkitchen.com. The site offers an informative blog, example videos and recipes, a breakdown of the curriculum setup and tuition format, as well as a number of other tools to benefit a budding chef. They have suggested that no matter the level of expertise currently held by any cook, they still have something to teach. Smart Kitchen says:

"Whether you are a beginner eager to learn, a culinary enthusiast who has always dreamed of learning the secrets of culinary school, or an experienced kitchen professional refreshing your skills, you are in the right place."

The free trial available through Smart Kitchen gives cooks a chance to try the course for up to 7 days before rolling over into the $9.99/month tuition format. This is another way that the company feels they differ from competitors. The trial is also used as an example to reinforce how affordable the price point is on these lessons as opposed to other online cooking schools. Gift subscriptions are also available.
