Debby McKinney has announced that Emerald Coast Women In Business is seeking host locations for their ECWIB Connections events for Spring 2017. The organization announced recently that it is in need of locations for upcoming events, preferably women owned business in Destin and Miramar Beach, Florida, but says that they will also consider locations in Bluewater Bay and other nearby destinations.

"We typically cater to women owned or women managed businesses," states McKinney. "We are seeking host locations as well as co-sponsors and ask that locations are able to accommodate up to 20 to 30 women for events."

McKinney says that co-sponsors and host locations should be able to bring finger foods and drinks and that hosts and co-sponsors are highlighted in MeetUp and in the company's social media for their contributions as well as speak about thier business at the event. She states that all women are welcome to the events including those working for businesses, entrepreneurs, and those from the nonprofit sector or anyone who may be looking for work in one of these areas.

"We are not industry specific," says McKinney. "Anyone from any industry is welcome, and there is no membership fee or obligation to attend. We allow women to attend as their schedules permit."

McKinney states that while RSVPs for events are welcome, they are not required. Locations rotate monthly and each host will typically be women owned or managed businesses in the chosen areas or a business that would benefit women.

The time frame for the events are typically after normal working hours, around 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. McKinney says that the ideal location will be one where light refreshments and drink will be provided by the host and co-sponsors, so the attendees will not need to bring money.

Each event will have three co-sponsors who will work with the host to provide light refreshments for the attendees. In exchange, each will receive exposure on the flyers and in social media, which includes Facebook and LinkedIn. They will also have three to five minutes at the event to talk about their business. Each will also be able to set up a small display at the event showcasing their business.

Attendees are encouraged to donate a door prize to be drawn at the end of the night in order to bring more exposure to their business. Those interested can email McKinney using the subject line "I want to be an ECWIB Co-Sponsor/Host" or visit the company on their Meet Up Group at https://www.meetup.com/emerald-coast-women-in-business/.
