December 27, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
Your ROI Guy in collaboration with ROI Kids recently led a project to take blind and wounded veterans kayaking in Key Largo, Florida, and clean up all of the trash they encountered along the way. The company has recently stated that the entire event was a huge success, and possibly something that they plan to make an annual event.
Richard Seppala, founder and owner of Your ROI Guy says, "We are always looking for ways to give back to our veterans and help kids to grow into helpful, kind and compassionate adults. We feel that this event helped us to reach those goals in so many ways."
Seppala states that during the trip to Key Largo, the ROI kids and veterans kayaked over the Snake Island, where they cleaned up all of the trash in the area. He states that they filled more than 30 large bags with trash, helping to make the area safer for visitors and wildlife. Blind veteran Aaron Hale paddled a toe-boat that was filled with the trash back to shore to be picked up and hauled away.
"Overall it was a wonderful day," says Seppala. "People just have to take a moment to think about what they can do to benefit someone else. In our case, we helped these kids and vets to spend a great day together, helping the environment, so it was actually a victory in more ways than one."
Seppala states that more about the event and the organization ROI Kids, can be seen at roikids.com. He says that the mission of ROI Kids is to invest in young entrepreneurs, helping to mold children for their futures.
The organization states that helping children to learn the value of getting the best return on their investment is important in a number of ways. The ROI Kids Club helps to inspire children to take part in the business world, teaching them not only the value of the dollar but the impact that they can have on helping those who are less fortunate. The organization works with children, helping them to realize the entrepreneurial spirit through lemonade stands as well as professional selling.
