The National Veterans Opportunity Coalition (TNVOC) has announced a new addition to their board. The non-profit organization has recently appointed Raymond D. Jones as a new board member. Jones is a retired colonel in the United States Army and is currently Lecturer of Acquisition Management and Procurement Policy at the Naval Postgraduate School. Ron Williams, President of TNVOC says, "No doubt, Ray is going to be an invaluable addition to our team and we're truly honored to have him on the board."

Jones retired from the US Army in 2012 after 30 years of service. While in the Army he commanded at all levels from Captain to Colonel in both operational commands and Major Defense Acquisition Programs. Additionally, he spent several years as an experimental test pilot, supporting the development of many critical programs that have supported operations in recent conflicts.

Jones has held many top-ranking positions and overseen a number of high-profile projects for the United States Department of Defense including Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army; Commander and Project Manager, Kwajalein Missile Range, Republic of the Marshall Islands; Colonel, U.S. Army; Military Deputy to the Director for Acquisition Resources and Analysis (Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) in Washington DC; Colonel, U.S. Army; Assistant Joint Program Executive Officer, Joint Tactical Radio System (JPEO JTRS) in San Diego, CA and many more.

After retiring, Jones went on to starting an executive level consulting company focused on helping industry position themselves more competitively for Defense and international contracts. He currently lectures at the Graduate School of Business and Policy at the Naval Postgraduate School, focusing on Defense procurement processes and public policy in Monterey, California.

"Ray brings a tremendous amount of priceless experience with him, especially when it comes to being a leading expert in the procurement, RFP and RFQ process, and TNVOC will leverage his knowledge and expertise to drive beneficial educational based learning webinars and content for VOB and Corporate members of the Coalition," says Ben Fatola, Vice President of TNVOC.
