KINGSTON, JM – Internet Income Jamaica and its social media arm, Pow Social, have aligned with the mandate put forth by the recently formed Economic Growth Council (EGC) to achieve five percent growth in four years. The company was unveiled as one of the council’s participating sponsors at the signing event, which took place on November 7 at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.
During the event, Internet Income Jamaica logo was featured prominently among the list of sponsors, which included other well-known Jamaican firms. The internet marketing company teaches individuals how to build a business and freelance their skills online. It also runs Pow Social, the company that currently manages the social media pages and website for the Economic Growth Council.
The EGC was launched in April, 2016 and tasked with improving the growth of the Jamaican economy. Following consultations with various stakeholders within the public and private sectors, the council has identified a number of strategic measures that are required to achieve growth. The body has also targeted a growth rate of five percent in four years, which it believes will help the island get closer to becoming a developed state.
Internet Income Jamaica, which is owned by world-renowned online marketers, Alicia Lyttle and Lorette Lyttle, is among several companies that have come on board to assist the council in its quest to spur economic growth.
“We are proud to partner with the Economic Growth Council on their 5 in 4 mission. We know that, working together, this goal will be exceeded!” says Alicia Lyttle, CEO of Internet Income Jamaica.
Ms. Lyttle’s sentiments have also been backed up by Andrew Reid, who is the company’s Director. “Our team has committed to working together to spread the word of the EGC by using Social Media,” he said.
Since the partnership, the EGC’s Facebook page has received hundreds of likes, as well as robust engagement on several posts. The EGC has also been able to share a document through its website, which allows the public to view and download its call to action.
The partnership with the Economic Growth Council by Internet Income Jamaica underlines the company’s effort to improve employment in the country. The company currently runs monthly boot camps, as well as webinars and workshops, which are geared toward training people to become online entrepreneurs.
