There has been a spate in fatal car crashes in the Crestview, Florida area as of late. Gross & Shuster P.A., a personal injury lawyer firm, is investigating the circumstances around these different crashes in an effort to determine whether any outreach work on road safety is required. They also encourage anyone who has been involved in these accidents to contact them.
Terence Gross, co-founder of Gross & Schuster P.A., says: "There have been three fatal car crashes in a month, which is much higher than in any other month on record. Perhaps most worrying is that two of the deceased were teenagers, and this could indicate some further work is required in terms of road safety, particularly for teens."
The accident attorney is looking at one accident on US 30 Eastbound. This accident took place on 25 October, in which a 19 year old boy died. The boy was in a vehicle that had been stopped together with several others car, when a semi-trucked crashed into them. The crash is currently being investigated, and the driver of the semi truck has been questioned.
Another high profile case is that of a teenager from Lauren Hill, who died on October 16. It is not clear what caused the accident, which caused the vehicle in which the teenager was a passenger, to drive into a ditch and strike an embankment. Funds are currently being raised by the boy's peers in order to pay for the funeral.
The car wreck attorney pointed out: "Two boys in the prime of their life being taken so soon is incredibly sad. It is known that, in the last accident, the boys did not wear their seat belts. Perhaps work can be done around increasing awareness of safety in cars, for drivers and passengers alike."
A final case involves that of a 79 year old woman. She was involved in a road traffic accident on September 27 on Alabama 79. She was taken to hospital, where she remained until passing away on October 24, nearly a month later. The circumstances of her accident are being investigated.
