It’s no secret that distracted driving is dangerous. The new online quiz from End Distracted Driving (EndDD.org) and the law firm of Anapol Weiss lets users test their knowledge about the dangers of distracted driving.

The 15-question quiz asks users about types of distractions as well as hands-free cell phone use, age groups’ texting habits and fatal crash rates, and much more. After users finish the quiz and view their score, they can share their results on social media and learn more about becoming a part of the solution to end distracted driving.

“Raising awareness is the biggest way we at EndDD.org combat the distracted driving epidemic in our country,” said EndDD.org Founder Joel Feldman. “When people arm themselves with knowledge, they can make better decisions on the road. Knowing the facts can also help them be more vocal with friends and family members about driving safer.”

Feldman and his wife, Dianne Anderson, founded EndDD.org after a distracted driver struck and killed their daughter Casey in 2009. The non-profit organization developed a scientifically-based presentation with experts at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. With the help of volunteer speakers, the EndDD.org presentation has reached more than 300,000 people in the U.S. and Canada.

“NHTSA recently reported that distracted driving deaths increased by about 8.2 percent from 2014 to 2015,” Feldman said. “That bad news got even worse with NHTSA’s release on October 4, 2016 of its estimate of 2016 fatalities. According to NHTSA, 2016 has seen a 10.2% increase in fatalities over 2015. Now more than ever, we have to be diligent in spreading the word about safe driving. Unless we commit to safer driving we will lose more children, sisters and brothers, parents, spouses and friends. We need to act now.”

EndDD.org’s distracted driving quiz is just one way children, teens and adults can become part of the solution to make our roads safer. To learn more about getting involved, visit www.EndDD.org.
