Multiple ways exist to help parents cut their baby's nails, which include clippers, files, and scissors. While positive that there are so many options out there, it often leaves parents wondering which method is best. iProvèn, a company in Beaverton, OR, has released new scissors that have been specially designed for baby's nails. They come with curved blades and blunt edges, designed to avoid harming the baby's fingers. Their baby nail scissors, which are currently available exclusively on Amazon, are already proving to be popular.

"Cutting and clipping baby's nails is a torment for most parents," says Lorianne Hubers from iProvèn. "People often only have adult clippers or scissors available, and these can lead to nicking the baby's fingers. As a result, some people simply do not cut their baby's nails, but this means babies can end up scratching themselves although this could be prevented by placing mittens or socks on the baby's hands. With our baby scissors, however, it is finally easier than ever to cut baby's nails, without being concerned about the possibility of nicking the baby's fingers."

A number of tips have been released for parents to help them keep their baby's nails short. iProvèn as a company is committed to not just providing the highest quality products, but also to educating their customers about how best to use this. Hence, they have released a number of tips for parents on how to deal with their baby's nails.

These tips includes simply peeling the ends off using fingers. For those who do want to cut them, they recommend using specially designed clippers or scissors such as those that they have developed. Additionally, parents should take care to push the pad of the finger away from the nail, to further minimize the risk of catching their infant's delicate skin.

"Cutting baby's nails isn't hard once you know what you are doing," adds Lorianne Hubers. "Nevertheless, it can be quite scary for parents, especially those who are doing it for the first time. We hope that the tips we have provided them with will enable them to confidently cut their baby's nails, thereby increasing comfort and safety overall. Nails are perfect breeding grounds for bacteria, which is one of the many reasons why we do not recommend leaving nails to simply grow long."
