KINGSTON, JM – Internet Income Jamaica’s most recent boot camp in the series was held June 25 – 26 at the Knutsford Court Hotel in New Kingston. The fully-booked event saw 55 attendees learning how to make money online as virtual assistants, which is one of the most in-demand freelancing job categories.
Participants at the event came from various socio-economic backgrounds and demographics. Over the two days, they were trained on how to join top freelancing sites, how to create their virtual assistance accounts, and how to optimize their profiles for maximum visibility and hiring potential. There were a number of experienced trainers on hand to deliver the information, including Sue-Tanya McHorgh, a top-rated virtual assistant on several popular freelancing platforms.
In addition, attendees were taught best practices on how to set up their services to increase their chances of being hired, how to promote their services on social media and other websites, and how to communicate effectively with clients for more sales and better results. With most of the students having fully operational services online at the end of the Virtual Assistance boot camp, the Internet Income Jamaica team was satisfied that it was another successful staging.
“We are extremely happy with the turnout and the fact that we have helped so many people put themselves in a position to earn an income online as virtual assistants,” said Sue-Tanya, who is also the organizer for the boot camp.
Also taking part in the training were Internet Income Jamaica CEO, Alicia Lyttle, and Pow Social Manager, Andrew Reid, who took time out of their busy schedules to assist with the large turnout.
Internet Income Jamaica has stepped up the training of new online entrepreneurs for 2016 by adding new categories for freelancers, such as Kindle Publishing. The latest boot camp was put on in recognition of the growing demand online for virtual assistants.
