LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently stated that the incident involving two men injured in a construction accident in Seattle should serve as an impetus for change. He wishes the men a quick and successful recovery.

Emergency crews had to launch a high angle rescue earlier this month after a construction employee who had been working on the 22nd floor sustained neck and head injuries when a pipe fell on top of him, according to reports from Komonews.com. The rescue, according to fire officials required the use of rope and a crane. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

For many other victims of construction accidents, this was not the case. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reports that 4,821 workers were killed on the job in 2014. One in five of those deaths were in the construction industry. The most common forms of injury in the construction business include slips, trips, and falls. These types of accidents in addition to electrocution and being stuck between objects or struck by them, accounted for over half of construction worker deaths in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman have been representing victims of construction accidents for years. In one case, Attorney Thomas Moverman won a victim $2.6 million for a worker who injured his knee and back in a fall from defective scaffolding. The firm has successfully obtained millions in settlements for those victims and strongly believes in fighting for the compensation victims need and deserve. Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman is currently looking to assist those individuals who have been injured in a construction accident and qualifying individuals may be entitled to financial compensation.
