Williams & Javellana, LLP Announces Local Chico, CA Attorney Has Been Selected To Top 1 % In the Nation

Williams has been selected to the 2015 list as a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Chico, CA Criminal Defense attorney Brandon T. Williams graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (Cal), where he studied Political Economy of Industrial Societies. He was also a member of the track and field team while at Cal. This taught him discipline, preparation, a hard work ethic and how to balance time.  After Cal, he attended the law school of Thomas M. Cooley; graduating with honors (Cum Laude). While in law school, he had the opportunity to Clerk for the Honorable Judge Amy Krause in the 54A- District Court in Lansing Michigan. As a law clerk, Mr. Williams was able to experience law from a judicial standpoint. He discussed cases with the judge, wrote bench memos, and provided legal research for the court. Because this court was primarily a domestic violence court, Mr. Williams was able to gain extensive experience in domestic violence related issues and cases.

After his judicial clerkship, Mr. Williams was given an opportunity to clerk for the Santa Clara District Attorney Office, where he was supervised by the Honorable Judge Cynthia Sevely.  At the district attorney office, he first chaired traffic court trials, negotiated settlements, argued motions to suppress, serna motions, demurrer motions and motions to withdraw plea. He participated in jury trials and provided extensive input in trial strategy and pretrial negotiations for the misdemeanor department.

In 2010, Mr. Williams opened up his own law practice, the Law office of Brandon T. Williams located in Chico, California.

In 2011, Mr. Williams was elected to the Butte County Bar Association board as the secretary. In 2012 he was promoted to the President of the Butte County Bar Association.
