Castle Rock, Colorado's Noble Media is celebrating the 7th anniversary of the release of the children's book "One More Giraffe". The book's author, Kim Noble, gave birth to twins in 2008, and were conceived with the help of an egg donation; the book was intended to be read by very young children who were born through such a procedure.
Noticing the lack of books tackling the delicate and complex process, Noble contacted Marna Gatlin, founder and CEO of Parents via Egg Donation (http://www.pved.org/). With Gatlin's help, "One More Giraffe" was born. Noble explains, "After a few years of trying to have a baby, I gave birth to my twin girls at 43. My husband and I wanted to tell the girls they were born with help from donor eggs. There were some books on the market then, but I felt they weren't appropriate for toddlers. I knew they would become curious and begin to ask questions. So I wrote the book myself."
