Lausanne, Switzerland – IMD, the International Institute for Management Development, has announced an enhanced board of directors training program, entitled High Performance Boards (HPB). Designed to boost the performance of supervisory boards of directors and chairpersons, HPB provides experienced leaders, peer interaction and the necessary tools and framework to create a solid action plan to build company success.
The three-day Board of directors training program explores practical frameworks, board of director best practices and the most current research on the world’s top-performing boards.
According to Program Director, Didier Cossain, “HPB is not only about High Performance Boards. It is about high performance board members. Together with peer board members from top companies from across the world, we look at what best boards are doing as well as their failures, in a dynamic and confidential setting.”
Through case studies of successful boards, participants work with the program’s expert faculty and high-performing board directors. This valuable peer interaction allows participants to debate and challenge one another over board and corporate governance issues. Participants also learn how to create a positive board culture and board-specific strategies to minimize risk and maximize opportunities. By the end of the training, participants will have created action plans that address the challenges of their particular board of directors.
“HPB is simply the best program that exists on corporate governance, board composition and evaluation. It is essential for every board member to do such a program,” said Sipho Mseleku, chairman of the board Sahumnotho Group Holdings, South Africa.
During 2014, the High Performance Boards Programs will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland on October 6-9 and in Singapore on September 15-18.
