Marina Medical Hosts Its First Gluteal Augmentation Workshop in Costa Rica

Sunrise, FL – On May 8, Marina Medical hosted its first Gluteal Augmentation workshop in Costa Rica in partnership with Hospital CIMA and Dr. Luis Da Cruz. This workshop showcased the use of The Triple Tool to achieve optimal results for gluteal implants.

Dr. Da Cruz began the two day workshop with several lectures covering comprehensive topics surrounding the use of gluteal implants and the intramuscular technique.  Afterwards, participants were transported to a cadaver dissection for exposure to the associated anatomy.  The following day, attendees observed two live surgeries demonstrating the practical application of the theories and teaching from the previous day.

The Triple Tool was designed through a collaborative effort by Dr. Luis Da Cruz and the engineering team at Marina Medical Instruments Inc.  This 3-in-1 tool is a dissector, retractor and sizer in one instrument.  The rotary dissection creates a safe, thick pocket in less than two minutes maximizing efficiency in the operating room for better patient outcomes.  The overall design facilitates optimal control and precision.
